Experienced adult rider looking to exercise a few horses in Show Low, Taylor, Snowflake or Lakeside areas. I've mainly shown hunters and jumpers, but I have dressage experience and I began riding western as a toddler. I'm not looking for money (maybe some gas money now and again), I just miss riding. I have 2 girls now, so I have no time for a horse of my own. Rare, hard to find narrow Western/Barrel/Trail Saddleused, hand made square skirt, bear trap swells, rawhide wrapped horn, stitched black suede seat, basket and floral pattern throughout
looks like a rawhide or rawhide wrapped tree, which seems to be good and sound.
Needs good cleaning and conditioning.
Gullet betw. front conchos: 5 to 5 1/2 " ; skirt length: 25 "; cantle height: ~ 3.5 "; seat : 15 "; fork height: ~ 3 "; horn height: ~ 3 "; fenders/stirrups : can be adjusted w. blevins buckle.
The leather is a little bit stiff, but pliable and no cracking, has scratches, marks and dings @ fork, some concho areas and horn. Fenders have some small surface cuts and blemishes, stirrups are wood and also dinged/chipped. I had the fenders turned, they used to be roughout and I had D-rings for a breast collar put on. This was not done "saddle-maker professional", but it can be easily changed. Below the cantle are two screw holes for a maker or name plate. I can't find a maker, only the # 115-1 on the latigo holder I added new chonchos w. gold colored twisted wire and silver colored floral design. I was not able to screw the two big conchos at the back of the saddle all the way in, maybe you have more strength or the right tool to do that. I add one extra horn cap concho in case you should lose it, since this one is only glued on. Fleece on the bottom is good. Saddle weighs about 23 lbs. More pics available. $350.00/ OBO
